Successful data analytics professionals typically possess deep, practical experience in a number of analytics competencies, including, but not necessarily limited to, data mining, data profiling, statistical modeling, machine learning, analytic techniques and toolboxes (for modeling, prediction, pricing, segmentation), information synthesis and inference and data visualization. Additionally, leveraging industry-leading tools and technologies to drive value is another must for data analytics teams.
To keep these skills current and relevant, and to ensure that data analytics professionals have the expertise in utilizing the analytics tools that are most impactful, it’s critical to continually build and refine one’s knowledge and expertise through training opportunities.
